For those who are blinded by lighting each and every day
For those who are blinded by lighting each and every day
You lay it on the table
And pretend to care
But as the day goes on
You realized that her eyes
Are filled with rage and disconnection
And every word that comes out of her mouth
Is another stab in the spine
THE PAIN INCREASES
And your heart is starting to give in to
What little love you have left
And its not that you hate this person
Its just you can’t give your love anymore
But before you know it your bridge collapses
and the
NO TRESSPASSING SIGN
Begins to fade away
Without realizing it you have given in to everything
You vowed not to
Not because you wanted to
NO!
Because you had to
And you sit in your agony
letting
it
drown
out every trouble you have had
With them
But still after a long soak
There’s something that hangs on
Like a hang nail
It’s painful to get rid of
But eventually you’ll have to do it
No matter how hard you try to ignore the pain
It still lingers
And lingers
And lingers
You lay it on the table
And pretend to care
But as the day goes on
You realized that her eyes
Are filled with rage and disconnection
And every word that comes out of her mouth
Is another stab in the spine
THE PAIN INCREASES
And your heart is starting to give in to
What little love you have left
And its not that you hate this person
Its just you can’t give your love anymore

But still after a long soak
There’s something that hangs on
Like a hang nail

And lingers
And lingers
