L’imagination au pouvoir
Your imagination
Does a dance
Swaying
Moving to the beat
Breathing heavily in the spotlight
She remains on the dance floor
Your heart
Bump
Bump
Bump
And you can’t do anything about it
Your subconscious is fucking her
Is sticking your fingers in places
You’ve never imagined
She doesn’t even know you
No words have left your mouth
No eyes have met on the battlefield
But you’re brain is flirting with the crease in her back
And draining the stress from her mouth
Your brain is smoking cigarettes
But...
Does a dance

Blue Tounge
Happiness,
I long for you to stay
I long to soak in your glow
Paint a mural on my heart
fill in the dark spots
You are on some distant train
too far away for me to hold
too far away for me to grasp
Happiness,
I want to have you center stage
want you cage free
want to feel the way your sugar taste
on my cracked lips
Bless me with your graces
for I am stuck
Darkness
has
resided too long
I can't swallow the toxic anymore
I am sick of it
sick of the blue tongue
sick of the pain that drives...
I long for you to stay

Lady Day,
Angel with ebony skin
Wings sewn
With glass
And poison
A heart shaped cage
Voice steals my breath
I want to grace my fingers over your body
And feel the rivers pour from your skin
Want to heed your voice over satin sheets
And blaze a trail of glory
With the night as our band
The stars as our audience
Soothe your heart
With brittle fingers
And ice
Every word that glides from your lips
Your love,
Your passion
Your victories
Your losses
I only wish I could tell...

That's the way it is
Things change
And
Break
Shatter
And
Sparkle
For days on end
Then the lighthouse burns down
And you are stranded at sea
And your raft, it starts to wilt
Without anything
You arrive hungry
On an island
But the island is full of
Wolves, thieves and lions
All waiting to prey on you.

The New Roomate
The New Room Mate
There was a fly
In my house, yesterday
I refused to kill the thing
Suppose I have taken this
Buddhist thing too seriously
Something my Mom said about
My great uncle popped in my head
“Name the fly and ask him to go away”
So I said
Bob, get the fuck out of here”
He didn’t leave
So I said
“Christopher, get the fuck out of here”
Still didn’t leave
He’s somewhere in my house
Suppose I have a new roommate
Damn those Buddhists
There was a fly

The voice
So proud
Loud
Reaching out
And touching
The hearts of the pig
The pig rolls in dirt
And throws mud
And the voice gets louder
And angrier
The eye
It blames the voice for everything

Funny Little Word
Funny Little Word
Loyalty is this funny word
Like sticky book pages
It clings to us
Like a beaten dog
We throw things at it
Kick it
Slam it
Toss it against walls
But yet it always comes back
Like a piece of gum
Under the forth graders desk
We are loyal
Or at least we try to be
Friendships
And
Relationships
Are built upon
This funny little word
Without it these things usually crumble
And wither away
This funny little word

Dry Streak
Note: This is a poem I wrote stream of consciousness. I haven't really shared it with anybody till now cuz I didn't see the poetic value till now.
Fuck,
this dry streak that I have been on
Is eating at me like a dog on a dry piece of meat
I can’t think
I can’t do much of anything
And I hate it
I need my fix of poems and stories
Or else I think I am going to crack
Like an egg
I'll sizzle
This dry streak is a bitch
It’s a whore
Trying to kill me little by little
Where can a man go when he has
Nothing to write about...

To Whom It May Concern :::
I feel that you are out there
Waiting for me to meet you
Much like you are waiting for me
I can picture the long conversations
And the mindless fights
When exactly,
I will find you
I have no such idea
But all I know is that
You are actually out there
Maybe writing a poem
Of similar ideas
Or maybe just walking down a street
Hoping to run into to me
When ever this day comes,
I am sure it will be the happiest day of both of our lives
And at first, this might not come so quickly
But over time our hearts will flutter with...
Waiting for me to meet you
Much like you are waiting for me

Shadows
I was thinking to my self
How great it would be to live as a shadow
To be among the living without skin and flesh
Never having to worry about silly little things
There are bad things
Love would be worthless
Among the shadows
But on the other hand there are good things
No Racism
No Discrimination
Most of all no war
There would be no need for nuclear arms
Or destruction of poverty stricken worlds
Because among the shadows everybody gets along
In the shadows
There is no loneliness
Only the sun to keep you...
How great it would be to live as a shadow
To be among the living without skin and flesh

For those who are blinded by lighting each and every day
For those who are blinded by lighting each and every day
You lay it on the table
And pretend to care
But as the day goes on
You realized that her eyes
Are filled with rage and disconnection
And every word that comes out of her mouth
Is another stab in the spine
THE PAIN INCREASES
And your heart is starting to give in to
What little love you have left
And its not that you hate this person
Its just you can’t give your love anymore
But before you know it your bridge collapses
and the
NO TRESSPASSING SIGN...
You lay it on the table
And pretend to care
But as the day goes on
You realized that her eyes
Are filled with rage and disconnection
And every word that comes out of her mouth

Invisable Memory
You are this invisible memory
Just roaming around in my mind
Clogging the holes
And dividing what is left of your existence
I thought perhaps, I could obtain some sort of
Tolerance for your being caught in the bars
But ignorance is going to get me nowhere
I know that in some way you are just
Panic
Just a flutter of my heart
Just something to keep my mind occupied
Until another comes barraging in like The Spanish Inquisition
For the time being I will allow you make your stay
Keep your shit in the corner though
I don’t...
Just roaming around in my mind
