I chose not to look away
I chose to stay and face my fate
listening to you words,
they made everything sound so fun,
I believed you, I stared into your bright green eyes
as you told me what would become of me,
your bright cherry red lips, so plump and full of life
whispering words I wish I’d never heard
three words that sent me on the track to insanity
three words was all it took,
three simple words that took the life right out of me
and not once did I look back…

I see no light behind your bright green eyes,
I see no soul within you
I see death and destruction,
taking as many souls as you can
your driving everyone mad
you’ve got people falling at your feet
you’ve got people wishing upon stars,
in hope they might see you

I’ve seen you
I’ve felt the heavy stare
I’ve given you my all
and now I want it back
after all you did
I don’t want to love you anymore…
