by the dawns early shadow to the west the beast retreats
into the depths of deceit and darkness the beast thrives
rarely seen we will become
the interments of its wicked ways

using greed and lust we fall pray

you need only yourself to function

you need no demons of money to live

a man with a bag of cans going through the garbage
a mother with too many kids and too little help

you heed only your limits to greed

people do things
and i know
i'm to selfish to turn the other check
like they do
i'm to selfish to be on the street

how did they get there
some seen with jobs
weeks ago
good hardworking simple souls

someone is driving a mercedes benz
not the 60 grand
the 120 grand
parties weekly
riches to last life times
they hurt another so they wouldn't lose anything
not share or care
