A Creature of Fear Within

Anger and be angered
Fear and be feared
Chaos from order
Or order from chaos?

How will the anxiety take its place
Which place will it stab
How long before it pushes me off the cliff
I don't want its prediction written on the slab

Its gnawing with razor sharp teeth
Clawing its way into me
Ever so persistent
Even more so dangerous

The insanity
the sweat and bloody veins it reaps
who will be its next victim
when will we have to weep

Its calling in the darkness from within
Bringing up horrible images
a splitting headache comes up
please leave me alone!

I need an escape, but where to turn
I can't see through this fear, where to run?
Everything seems muffled, what is happening now?
Who is turning out the lights- I feel like I'm falling now

I should sleep this slumber
never to wake again
away from this beast
in a far far away dream land

Keep me away it reminds me of who I was
I worked my up to here you see
And all for one cause
and that it just to be me.
