i like the rapidness of your dealing with this in such a haiku like way. Scars are a part of the human landscape, and as Carly Simon puts it, "A really good man loves a really good scar." Have you ever noticed how the pattern of development of the tattoos and piercings tells its own story? And as you have pointed out, the tip of the ice berg is all we see.....very good stuff.
