Clear, Red Puddle
You hear that?
That dripping sound?
The sound like dripping water?
You see the puddle?
The puddle so clear?
But as you look
Do you see another
Another color so deep
So rich?
That red color,
That blood,
Is what I shed
As each web
Stabs its pointy end
Into my flesh
Winding pain
Into my heart
Like a poison dart
As it shreds
All away
To nothing.
That dripping sound?
The sound like dripping water?
You see the puddle?
The puddle so clear?
But as you look
Do you see another
Another color so deep
So rich?
That red color,
That blood,
Is what I shed
As each web
Stabs its pointy end
Into my flesh
Winding pain
Into my heart
Like a poison dart
As it shreds
All away
To nothing.
