Chains of a mental origin
You tell me that you love me
But you leave me cold and helpless
Yet I stay
You bring to me a light
One I can not extinguish
Showing me the way to a dark and gloom place
No faces to the people
Just voices
I have chosen to ride along
I feel powerless to your grip
Like my strength has been drained
Yet I stay
My mind has been altered
To believe the lies you speak
Although no words are exchanged
I hear you loud and clear
You wreak havoc on my heart
Yet I stay
Another fake smile is plastered on my face
No signs of what has taken place are shown
Two lives I live
Separate yet conjoined
These chains are of a mental origin
But you leave me cold and helpless
Yet I stay
You bring to me a light
One I can not extinguish
Showing me the way to a dark and gloom place
No faces to the people
Just voices
I have chosen to ride along
I feel powerless to your grip
Like my strength has been drained
Yet I stay
My mind has been altered
To believe the lies you speak
Although no words are exchanged
I hear you loud and clear
You wreak havoc on my heart
Yet I stay
Another fake smile is plastered on my face
No signs of what has taken place are shown
Two lives I live
Separate yet conjoined
These chains are of a mental origin
