I have loved this website more than words can be used to describe
This is the place where I have bled out for fourteen years
Teenage angst, college breakdowns, chronic illness, religious deprogramming... From one extreme love affair to another
Y'all were here for it all
You were my witnesses, my confidants... My friends
No other website will be like this place
No people like the ones here
No place where I have friends like you
I've never shared my poetry anywhere else
This was it for me and I only learned that it was closing down today
Please... Know my name is Carla
Know that all of your words of praise, criticism, feedback has been salve to my wounds over the years
You have made me the poet that I am today...
I've never claimed to be a good one lol
But you made me feel like I was
I broke down in deep, hard sobs when I learned it was going away
I truly don't know where I will go now when it feels like my world is ending
The world is going a cruel direction and I truly wish y'all find a safe spot to land
I wish you so much goodness
And if you message me I can give you my contact information

Carla, dear BlueBeastGirl, over the years we read and felt your fight, we felt your emotions, we saw the real you. I also want to thank you for sharing who you were, who you have become and where you are going. We may have not known you personally, but you became a great writer here in DUP.

Dear Carla,
Your ink has been a flame and I've been a moth, destined to burn myself alive loving every second of it. Your written instincts, the phrasing, the stark openness, indelibly influenced me in the best of ways. Thank you for being fearless on the page it made me feel like that might be possible for me too.
I wish you the best of everything in all your days ahead. I'll miss this place as much as I know you will, so hopefully we'll all bump into each other again.
It was wonderful learning your actual name, it makes me smile knowing that Carla is out there making her way in the world.
I joined another site called Starsrite.com as did a bunch of other DUP members, I'm just not sure that'll be where I ultimately end up or even if I do continue writing?!?
Just sayin' it's worth checking out!
