Chattered Teeth

Its frigid like a whip outside
the Hawk is out
I took two steps in brisk
to land clenched teeth in mouth
Consider me a visiting guest
I’m not used to low temps
There’s beach life sun at home
arctic gust took my energy limp
Dr. Seuss me some Camu Camu
to keep immunity high
Then toke condensated puffs in jest
to keep comic from going awry
I can’t stand in the cold
I can’t stand it at all
Have me laid up in downed sheets
smothered curled in a ball
Sniffles flute to whistle
wrapped burrito like when born
It’s hard to be steamy
but this weather has me scorn
In tantrum I must say
although it's more peaceful in states cold
Hard to be ill-minded
when your body’s in survival mode
I find cantankerous races more friendly
when sweater lips zipped up
Seemingly more interested in conversing
opposed to self-glorified foes abrupt
Yall weirdos can have this shit
put me back further south
I’ll abide to wearing this jacket
but this life I’m not about
