Clouded Desires
Just tell me
That the way I look into your eyes feels too real
That finger tips on your neck make your heart begin to feel
That music under neon lights made you miss me too much
I’m really not in any rush
I’m only being me
So gentle under an exterior so tough
But that has never been enough
Or maybe I’m too much of a mirror
For all the things you sadly fear
But I’ll still be here
“In your atmosphere” loud enough for the neighbors to hear
A mind that just won’t clear
Sobbing in moonlit baths
Finding any way to just relax
Waiting for the moment you finally text me back
I promise I’m right here
So simple in my clouded desires
I don’t need a dozen, only a single flower
Not to gain any kind of power
To know you made it home okay
That traffic didn’t cause any major delay
To feel you inside me from time to time
To still see you in the morning, if you would be so inclined
And to hold the parts she wasn’t strong enough to carry
To me it’s not that scary
Are you still here?
Clouded desires push you to be unclear
I’d love to tell you my feelings over your favorite beer
But you’re nowhere to be found
Only left with how you say my name, and your soft sounds
I hope I didn’t make you feel too bound
I only want to be the one beside you
Hoping you’ll see me and see it through
But to me it seems you’re leaving me in the rear
And worst part is;
I’ll still be here
That the way I look into your eyes feels too real
That finger tips on your neck make your heart begin to feel
That music under neon lights made you miss me too much
I’m really not in any rush
I’m only being me
So gentle under an exterior so tough
But that has never been enough
Or maybe I’m too much of a mirror
For all the things you sadly fear
But I’ll still be here
“In your atmosphere” loud enough for the neighbors to hear
A mind that just won’t clear
Sobbing in moonlit baths
Finding any way to just relax
Waiting for the moment you finally text me back
I promise I’m right here
So simple in my clouded desires
I don’t need a dozen, only a single flower
Not to gain any kind of power
To know you made it home okay
That traffic didn’t cause any major delay
To feel you inside me from time to time
