Jackie's Book of Shadows (CH7)
Chapter 7
I
An eerie, iridescent light irradiates
the waters of The Healing Pool,
bubbling to the surface like the beaker
of a mad scientist, having achieved
event horizon on an experiment,
Broomie’s sisters and allies holding
hands, eyes closed, in states of
deep meditation.
A group vision takes hold.
II
Fast moving clouds, at inception.
Palms touching, pulsating.
They see a golden fetus, turning
slowly…
And a baby Broomie…
And Broomie as a wee lass…
Moments from her life…
III
Beginning to bubble intensely
the intensity of the light fills
the room with a brilliant blue
light as the waters break away
into fragments and fractals,
floating into the air, falling to
ground, shattering, departing
from this dimension.
Smoke fills the room, swiftly
giving way to something
moving rapidly.
Jackie, straddling her witch
broom, flies around the room,
laughing wildly.
“Ahahahaha… They don’t
call me Broomie for nothin,
bitches.”
Somebody’s in trouble...
