Theia
The reason I hide behind
the false pretences
of a midnight kiss,
Is that I couldn’t wait
to again sense
the dangerous frame
I’ve been placed in
through sidelong glances,
Traced, erotic,
Further realized under stars,
Mixed with sweat and then,
Tears streak faces far too often
these days.
I’d have you as you are
now, and later when the malaise
settles its tired head
in your weathered hands,
Remind and renew a missive
written just as
straps melted from your shoulders.
We will have no end,
There was no beginning
to speak of,
A simple continuation
of an orbit shared,
Binary stars shining like something
else
entirely, you’ll take me alive
and love me for the sake of the
secret hunt.
