Exhumed from cocoon
now an old beggar
with aching bones
return to me pupa
where candle burns
drying my wings
listening to lullabies
in death's pale denim
I am weighed down
carried away to a pit
fading in a whisper
like dust in the wind
lingering in twilight
a shadow of life and death
heartbeats in a trance
blinding my senses
tied to your garter
of lace and innuendo
between dusk and dawn
now fodder for the loon
mummified real-estate
sleepless in the dark
soon to be manure
from my fungi din
