The True Test

Only Josh has passed this test,
and maybe,
that's why he's the only guy I ever loved.

Seeing me,
seeing all of me,
even all the unhinged parts,
and still coming back.

That is more than what most guys have done or will do.
And perhaps, that is why it feels wrong
to go with another.

Yes, they'll see healed me.
But they'll never see broken me.
They'll never see the parts of me
that I entrusted Josh with.

Even my friends today,
I do not trust with that complete knowledge.

Only Josh knows,
and that is what is truly frightening about all this.

Yes, I can tell my friends about my rage
and the thoughts I've had,
but they'll never experience it full on
from me.

And that is why I feel alone.
That is why doing my art is the most important thing.

Because I won't just talk about it...
My audience will experience it.
