Cruel to be kind is BS

Couple I passed on my morning walk.

She says from her spot about five steps behind him " you don't want to help yourself do you, you like playing the victim".He trudged on, head down and crestfallen.Im sure he was crying inside

I found the content and tone of her words rather cruel,others may not.

All I know about love (and that's very little) is that  you don't cause any deliberate harm to your other half.

Words used to harm are the cruellest of all weapons.
