Yellow Ribbon
If we said we miss you
would that be enough?
Would you bring back your
gift of words
and let us once again
enter your world
not as participants,
that's your pleasure,
that's your pain,
but as carers of damaged souls.
So much
in so few words
entire books written
between the lines, your lines.
A life story told,
with such honesty and
imagined somewhere among
the neurones and synapses of
those that read.
Us, the carers of damaged souls.
The ones whose breath was taken by your
W ...
would that be enough?

Flags
I see an American flag
and I cringe
An Israeli flag
and I cringe
A British flag
and I cringe
An Australian flag
and I cringe
A Hezbollah, Hamas, Russian flag.
What's the bloody difference.
Flags assist and exist in keeping us all seperate.To reinforce a uniqueness when in fact there are none.Arbitray borders, placed on a map by the powerful,the vengeful,the greedy define nations and the people who live there in.
Burn the flags
Erase the borders
Allow human capital to move around the world as easily as money does. ...

Need Help
This isn't a poem
It's a request
And I need your help
I'm curious to know
What are the first thoughts
That enter your mind
When you wake up tomorrow morning
You can't think about what you thought
Just be aware and make a note
Then let me know
Doesn't matter what or how weird it is
I just want it to be honest
If your first thought is about shagging a tree,doing the shopping,what to eat for breakfast,doesn't matter.
You'll have to be quick to capture the thoughts because as we all know, one quickly leads...

Everyone Has A Lover
I'm dazzled by her beauty
The stories she tells
The songs she sings
The things I learn from her at all times of the day and night
Regretfully , I use her and abuse her sometimes
Carelessly discarding her or leaving her at the mall
But
When my fingers wrap around her delicate frame I am beguiled by her tight little holes.
A frame so fragile that a sudden bump could damage her seriously
I know all the buttons she has for me to press and I press them often and instinctively
She comes alive when I look at her or sometimes just say hello ...

Hello
God
We're told you love us
but clearly not us all,and
for that reason and that reason alone
I find it hard to accept your existence.
It's just beyond my senses to
believe you would willingly sit by
watching people suffer
watching people die.
Tough love from a tough God.
If humans have humanity
what is it that you have
Godmanity?
Churches,cathedrals, politicians,
nasty humans spruiking your name
praying to you at night
dropping bombs in the morning
they seem to survive alright.
...
