mixed in an undifferentiating
fusion of a pungently pleasant
fishy odoriferous ambience..
ah home this is
yes the sun firing as supersun
at 40 or more Celsius .. these
unstoppably streaming yellows
of a brightened sunflowering
noon .. in busy rushing crowds
with a musk of sweating stench
Ah home yes home
this sweltering heaven

The pull to go home felt so prevalent in this piece. It made me think of both what I like and what I don’t when I go home. But that magnetic draw where family and shared experiences feels comfortable and connected is wonderful. Lovely write. H🌷
