Waves
I take a short drive to the beach almost daily.
Something about the waves make me feel at ease.
Calming my mind and grounding my thoughts.
The sound of the waves crash, I could listen to them all day.
The cold breeze from the sea blowing through my hair, cold tears dripping down my cheeks.
Looking out to sea.

I watched the waves come in after a close friend died. The immensity of the ocean can be quite calming.

Nice! I felt a calming reading this, even as thunderous waves crashed upon the beach. The sea - oh, the sea indeed has place in our hearts. Very nicely penned!

I have found it calming to spend time on my favourite (naturist) beach in Wales. Some of my poems on going naked there I have written in DUP.

Even though crashing waves are tumultuous, I find the sounds serene – and problems seem small against the vastness of the ocean.

I live on the beach almost here in Cape town and it's the most relaxing sound anyone could imagine , I walk my dogs daily and they know the route ! Thank you for sharing your poem it's always nice to know someone somewhere is enjoying the same thing ! Kinda makes us feel normal ...
