gravel in the grave (with Adagio)
Romancing the craters potholes
of wishing wells and tar pits
another bump in the road
and not just a mirage
fading to black
through the asphalt of pain
deep in the cobblestones
and the gravel in the grave
You're easy to love
when you're lying
I paint these prison walls
with murals of freedom
and dream just to hallucinate
remembering the taste you
before you spit burning asphalt
into my mouth
and burned my voice to black
of wishing wells and tar pits
another bump in the road
and not just a mirage
fading to black
through the asphalt of pain
deep in the cobblestones
and the gravel in the grave
You're easy to love
when you're lying
I paint these prison walls
with murals of freedom
and dream just to hallucinate
remembering the taste you
before you spit burning asphalt
into my mouth
and burned my voice to black
