It's a wonderful life

As a comet burns bright
And streaks across the night sky
So goes life
Against the fabric of time

Blink and you might miss
This strange celestial star
As it burns itself out
Fragmented from friction

But those lucky enough
To see it's blazing glory
Will speak of the miracle
They were blessed to see

And I will also
Count myself fortunate
To witness this mysterious magic
In a cursed and weary world
