Heaven on Earth?

Naked
Lonely
Cast aside
To gnash teeth
….and to howl like the wind

Just a statistic
Forgotten like last years rain
This fall from grace
Won’t trigger any memory
Where is the world’s sympathy?
It’s lost its love unfortunately

Cold
Hunger swelling
Crushing outward thinking
Into this all Hope is sinking
Fortunate eyes look the other way
With age comes change
Not necessarily for the common good

Tired
Bled from the core
Not wanting breath
….. anymore
Facing the approaching darkness
Resignation spreading….
Justice is purely obscene

Mercy shouldn’t be reserved for those with means

A million words won’t change an eternity of misery
