Lost & Found
{i. lost}
These dirty streets, skin and bone
Beneath my feet, grit and stone
Unfulfilled, the world spins around
Time stands still on solid ground
{ii. found}
Stars rain down, the night confides
In you I drown, right beside
Love declares, to you I'm bound
It was all a blur, lost and found
These dirty streets, skin and bone
Beneath my feet, grit and stone
Unfulfilled, the world spins around
Time stands still on solid ground
{ii. found}
Stars rain down, the night confides
In you I drown, right beside
Love declares, to you I'm bound
It was all a blur, lost and found

It seems like you start to experiment more. Which I like.
Onto your poem: I think it's an innate need to be found, saved perhaps?
This piece breathes hope and without hope we are lost 🖤

I like the break you have and the title of the stanza's. Stars rain down and the night confides. Very nice line there, Pete.

Brilliantly penned, Pete. Into the list it belongs. A darker vibe on this one, my friend. I dig it. Appreciate you.

Ahh man, this stirs so many thoughts. As Damian said, this is brilliantly written. There's such a powerful feeling in being found...by one's self or by another. And how frequently does another finding us help us find ourselves? See? Stirring thoughts...

I actually really liked the dichotomy of these two pieces. The first half kinda reminds me of a Morrissey song - the streets being skin and bone and lost. There’s this beautiful bleakness there I so love about England.
I’m unsure where you’re located, I’m just talking about home for me and what it reminded me of.
Found was also a treat. I love the word drown - it’s dramatic and adds so much depth (excuse the pun) to the emotion.
Paired together, it’s short and to the point. Very effective.
Thanks for sharing.
