Winter's Grip

With each arrow piercing through my depth
Pointing to the path of shallow breath
Quivering until the cold air met
Knocked loose until too has left

Footsteps of frost now lost
Frigid gasps soon lapsed
Circle into a mirth full of uncertain purples
Unfurled from icy lips

Cold words set out into the air
Stones to guide the warmth just laying there
The grip of eyes like arrows in their stare
As embers suffer forth toward unaware

Cataclysm masquerading
Extradition unabating
In an adventure unawaiting
Blink and find antcipation

Struck through the breastplate with a kiss
Crumbling armored in disadvantage
Consuming forging failing blacksmith
Hammering away at freezing temps
