To Love the Perceived Unlovable
To the eyes sunken in washed out pale faces
With hearts too weak to pump and lips too close
You look broken and burned
A personal weakness
A perceived bullet wound
But to the ever shining stars
From the brief and wicked glances
Your beauty itself breathes for you
To eyes still seeing and true
You are perfect beyond the lines cast by the sun
Molded to fit the hollowness creation left behind
To your eyes the light fights against your face
To mine the light itself chases you
Your sorrow finds itself within the curl of your lashes
And I brush away the dust atop your shoulder blades
Unlovable to the eyes that betray the soul
You are wholly alone with me there
With hearts too weak to pump and lips too close
You look broken and burned
A personal weakness
A perceived bullet wound
But to the ever shining stars
From the brief and wicked glances
Your beauty itself breathes for you
To eyes still seeing and true
You are perfect beyond the lines cast by the sun
Molded to fit the hollowness creation left behind
To your eyes the light fights against your face
To mine the light itself chases you
Your sorrow finds itself within the curl of your lashes
And I brush away the dust atop your shoulder blades
Unlovable to the eyes that betray the soul
You are wholly alone with me there
