Bitter-Sweet Memories
Tonight, a soft melody plays in my heart,
echoing faintly, the sweetest love.
Here, thinking of you under clear moonlight,
you are still on my mind.
The sultry summer nights we spent together,
in pastel shades of lucid blue,
the memories of your beautiful brown eyes
and smooth caramel skin tone.
Come back to me—
you were all I wanted.
Now I’m here with memories,
memories—bitter-sweet memories.
There can never be another like you,
the one who made my every sunrise,
the woman—Puerto Rican, Desert Cassia—
I touched a thousand times.
The birthmark on your left thigh,
I kissed as you lay supine in bed,
pouring out your soul to me,
in passionate movements.
Now I’m left with shadows,
in the back of my mind.
Come back to me, sweet Diadra,
for you were the only one I loved.
Come back to me—
you were all I wanted.
Now I’m here with memories,
memories—bitter-sweet memories.
echoing faintly, the sweetest love.
Here, thinking of you under clear moonlight,
you are still on my mind.
The sultry summer nights we spent together,
in pastel shades of lucid blue,
the memories of your beautiful brown eyes
and smooth caramel skin tone.
Come back to me—

Now I’m here with memories,

Now I’m here with memories,
memories—bitter-sweet memories.
