Suffering Succotash
Couldn't Warner Brothers just once, have Sylvester the Cat eat that little wise ass Tweety Bird?
Sure, there were a few cartoons where Sylvester manages to briefly eat Tweety up, but usually Granny or some other character makes Sylvester spit Tweety out of his mouth.
It's a damn shame, since this cat needed his protein.
Sylvester never had a break. Always getting pummeled by Granny, Spike the Bulldog or even Tweety Bird.
There was even some early episodes where he's paired up with Porky Pig. Porky Pig would scold him, since Sylvester was a scaredy cat and would get Porky Pig in complex situations.
Sylvester was blown up, hit with hammers, chewed up by dogs, hit over the head with Granny's cane, and died numerous times.
Like Wild E Coyote, Sylvester always got the short end of the stick.
These are timeless cartoons that still make me laugh. I recommend watching any of these classics from the late 1930's into the 1960's.
