It's never been particularly pretty but definitely iconic in splendor and power ..
Gritty and shitty does sum up a lot of things currently.  Where is Glenn Gould when you need him ??  Thought I'd throw that in there for humor !!  I remember reading that he got arrested in Miami when he was still touring for wearing a overcoat on the beach.  They thought him to be unstable but no matter what tye weather he was always cold. He stopped touring after that ....
