Scenery Of The Pastoral Mind
Overlooking the tiny town that lies below
Pine trees, eucalyptus and green willow
Between whiles, darts a swift swallow
Skimming the quiet waters, and shallow
******
Overlooking the oak forest that lies beyond
Fog and mist sleeping beneath since eons
A green dark, mystical and pastoral haven
Wolf and shepherd, each one a gain is gotten
******
Mounting the mighty, majestic mountain
I come across a lizard, warming his skin
A camouflaged mild mantis, masked green
Indulged into a leisure fight with a tiny robin
******
And to the far west, whence the sun sets
The hawthorn tree still keeps its mystic assets
Upright and deeply rooted into solid ground
Her head never bends, her body still sound
******
The eastern side from which the river flows
Driving with him dust and dirt, its body grows
Streaming by the foot, of a far, hazy mountain
A gigantic compact vast block, towers behind,
******
Up and down the land, here curves there bumps
Pathways speak of herds, shepherds and tramps
Sheep flocks and livestock, pass by, and graze
Under the watchful eye of a sniffer dog of pure race
******
The sun switches its hue to a lemon beam to leave
And the fresh wave of October, starts to heave
A chilling thrill into my being, and hair, it gives
As if chasing me homeward, a long rest i need
