Here Comes (The Night)

Here comes the night, with it's deep black.
Deeper than the moons far side.
Here it comes, with both daylight, & prospect at it's back.
Where, for a time, surely doubt, will preside.

Here comes the night, with it's variances, in the dark....
Here it comes, dead colors, jumping in the hushed....
The tipping, where evils embark.
Where a glimmer lifted up, is crushed.

Here comes the night, with it's dooming question.
Here it comes, at will, just at the speed of light.
Sealed at both reaches, with a kind of cognitive congestion.
Where an ashen fog curdles foresight.

Here comes the night, with it's confident dread.
Here it comes, a ready void.
Thoughts like daggers, aim at my head....
Where the tears fall like stars, that the sky has deployed.
