Soulful Embrace
In the depths of your being, love emerges,
Healing wounds, offering comfort.
A refuge for a heart that longs for connection,
A serene space for a wandering soul.
This love is unique, profound and rare,
More than just a fleeting touch or a midnight encounter.
It binds us with ties that withstand the test of time,
A connection that transcends understanding.
At times, we search for reason,
Trying to grasp this powerful bond that captivates us.
But it eludes definition, defying our attempts to comprehend,
Yet in each other's presence, emotions unfold.
Longing and desire, awakened deep within,
A reality that surpasses what we can hold onto.
This love is profound, far beyond mere dreams,
The foundation of a friendship, an unbreakable thread.
Yet we find ourselves dependent on this cherished person,
Though thoughts may remain unspoken, it is clear.
Their gravity pulls us beyond ourselves,
Like a whispered promise, a story waiting to be told.
And perhaps, in the anticipation of spring's arrival,
Embracing hearts will allow this love to thrive.
An eternal flame, burning bright and steadfast,
In this emotional journey, it is you and me.

Great poem reminds me of Rilke especially The line "A connection that transcends understanding" and the idea of love being profound and rare...it perfectly align with Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet.
