Prayer and Poetry is Powerful

Hopes were dashed.
Anger replaced hope.  
Tension turned to tears.  
 
Tears reveal the future is worth fighting for.  
Doubts and anger find solace in prayers and poetry.
 
So, wipe your eyes.  
We did our part.
 
Prayers and poems return purpose, patience, remembrance,
belonging, willingness, inclusion, community, confidence, wisdom.    
 
We wash our souls of this present pain.
We are worthy of Promises that do come true.
 
Change reveals that Truth is steadfast.  
Remember the past.
Don't let history repeat itself.
Have courage.  
 
Revisit prayer and poetry often.  
It is mercy in disguise.  
It reveals that reality is nothing but ripples
of some ancient truth.
