The Ultimate Queen Chapter One/part one
Chapter One
In This multicolored universe, in a cluster of hidden stars. There is a place that houses the nine worlds. In each of these worlds’ lives, inhabitant species that believe, they are the only survivors of the wars. The great wars that separated a united universe.
Once the war was over and the dead were more than the inhabitants could endure, propaganda was created to dissuade the youth from venturing out.
The queen of the Xantus people, Queen Ruel, announced to her people that they were the center of the universe and had no other life force to contend with.
Their home world of Typhine. Comprised of purple/amber hillsides, and the sky is a beautiful mixture of colors with blues and copper swirls. The temperature on the planet never changes, it is always eighty-five degrees Fahrenheit. The hidden treasure is the water below the earth. At one time, the water flowed freely, but the planet changed, and the water was drawn into their soil. The people have grown accustomed to tapping the Zimoin trees for water. Yet the northern tribes kept a secret that most would kill for. Their tribe surrounds a mountain with a hidden spring. Not even the queen knows of this.
Queen Ruel lived in fear that information about the existence of other world species would leak out. The Typhine people are not prepared for these cruel beings. It was once said that the golden ones knew of other world species and planned to contact them. An expedition of a hundred golden ones ventured to these worlds. They were met with hate and death. The queen had this knowledge locked away safely. For now, her subjects talk of these worlds as fairy tales to their children. There are only three golden ones left in existence. They have gone into seclusion from the Typhine people. To keep what had happened hidden. Not to encourage the new generation to make contact.
It is up to the queen to keep this knowledge hidden until the day a special child is born—not just any child, but a golden one. It will have the knowledge, courage, and strength to usher the people into the dawn of enlightenment. Until then, the decree is unalterable.
It has been a hundred Typhine lifetimes and three queens’ later that the original decree still stands. The new queen was bestowed a vision. She has foreseen the coming of the golden one. It will be born in the hills of Vinu. It shall come forth in two days’ time. The young Queen Sen called her bravest guard to go and retrieve the golden one. No harm should come to it or its Moosha. The guard Uril bowed and went on his quest. Uril is known to be ruthless when it comes to fulfilling the queen’s wishes. He has no remorse in taking a life to please the queen. Uril yearns for the queen’s hand. He knows that she will not agree to unite. A queen does not unite with a guard unless the guard has proven to be worthy.
It has only happened once before, in the reign of Queen Yelute. After his heroic display, she united with the captain of the guard to save the queen. Uril will unite with Queen Sen and create a new queen to ascend to the throne.
No queen has ever given life to a male. It is in their design to only carry female offspring. Their offspring will be praised and cherished by all. Uril will succeed.

I need to give a little back story on this. I entered this in a writing contest in 2017 as short story. I made it up to top 10. I got mad and made it into a Novelette. I never shown anyone this story.

You know, it was going too well, wasn't it, having no one else to contend or argue with? Ok, the water was hard to retrieve but they were happy. A more evil tribe was guarding the spring. Isn't that always the way! This story kinda reminds me of how Russia & the USA are today. Only, the water they're fighting over is more likely oil! 😂 Thought provoking write, Fia.

That is a good point. A tribe holding back a resource that would make people's lives easier and someone in power stating fiction as fact is mimicking the world today.
