Clouds form and lightning strikes
Tornado starts funneling
10 minutes from my house
See trouble on the edge
Sit down turn the TV on
Hoping to find information
Put the channel of storm warnings on
And Amber alerts
Find just bars saying it’s not here
My so called leader of my state
Decided to cut funding for PBS
Trying to fight fake culture wars
Says their grooming our children
Looking for my ruby red shoes
To click my heels as the world starts spinning
Foundation lifts up with the parked cars
Wish PBS was on to let me know

Author's Note
The governor of Oklahoma pulled funding from PBS because he said they were grooming our children. The channel also broadcasted emergency alerts and Amber alerts. So they have no warning about tornadoes or such because of a lie. Pathetic

hello dearest poet I have to admit I'm deeply shaken by what is transpiring out there and in our country...I had a family loss recently and had some mental health issues you know in my state there is almost nothing available... I feel for you I love PBS what are they grooming are children for to love history? really it's terrible...

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve been dealing with mental health in my family and I agree it’s soo hard to get true mental health care when insurance companies don’t treat it like other health issues. Stay strong! There are more of us good people than the people that want to tear us apart ❤️
