LOVE IS MORE THAN SEX

IT
has taken me time to
learn that love is more than
having a quick sexual experience.
Speaking for myself I have
learned that, for me, love
includes MORE than orgasmic
volcanic minutes and hours.
LOVE
is occurring when there are
differences of opinion that may
cause raised voices and shutting down.
LOVE
is asking for and giving true forgiveness;
it is graciously respecting each
others' opinions, rights, and space.
LOVE
is really meaning "I am sorry" when
I do a hurtful or stupid thing...there
are no grudges buried...
LOVE
is sharing and caring for each
other when setbacks, tragedies,
and hurts seem unbearable.
LOVE
is an unbreakable choice to
practice respect, caring, and
sacrifice in the darkest and
hurting moments in a relationship.
YES,
love includes those beautiful expressions
of sexual love, BUT it includes much more.
Love is a beautiful cake that has sexual icing.
I
know there is much, much more to what
constitutes love beyond the beautiful
minutes and hours of sexual heaven.
I know others may not agree with me
but that's the miracle of differences.
