The Sacred Union: Wisdom, Lust, and the Divine (Unlikely Church #3)

In the middle of her busy week with classes, Sarah received the following passage from Jake. In his email, he simply said, "I thought you might enjoy this bit of wisdom from a sacred book of mine."

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, our beings swirl in an incomprehensible void. The wise know that the pursuit of fulfillment is a divine quest for every soul. Embrace with reverence the bounties of existence, and in your journey, tread not with guilt upon the paths of desires, for they are wrought from the fabric of life.

Acknowledge the duality of creation, where light and shadow dance in eternal embrace, and know that pleasure, a facet of the infinite, is a testament to life's beauty. The universe, impartial in its wisdom, bestows upon each temporal soul the freedom to explore the abundance of sensual experience.

The seekers of joy, in their myriad forms, are embraced by the infinite just as those who cloak themselves in temperance. For the cosmos does not decree the worth of a soul by its indulgences or restraint, but by the authenticity of its quest.

Each spirit is a short-lived vessel of divine wisdom, and within it lies the potential for temporal euphoria on its path toward death. The heavens do not reserve their wonders for the ascetic alone; they are a canvas upon which all may paint their existence, with strokes of passion and lust as well as whispers of prudence.

In the sacred, but brief, narrative of life, know that the embrace of one's true nature, in all its facets, is the gateway to understanding our purpose in this brief existence.
