Thirty Six
I'm so tired of the fear,
Descending as I sit here by the pier,
My eyes blinded by the foggy dense light
My hands tremble in the wake of the night
Her face captivates me,
But also suffocates me,
Rejections too strong for me,
I feel so much it kills me,
Realize this is no phase,
I rip off this bandaid,
Her ghost now disappears,
To never reappear ,
This pain's beyond too real,
These wounds will never heal,
I'll sit here by the pier,
With feelings so severe,
I'm honest and sincere,
To me it's very clear,
For thirty six years,
I've made this a career,
Descending as I sit here by the pier,
My eyes blinded by the foggy dense light
My hands tremble in the wake of the night
Her face captivates me,
But also suffocates me,
Rejections too strong for me,
I feel so much it kills me,
Realize this is no phase,
I rip off this bandaid,
Her ghost now disappears,
To never reappear ,
This pain's beyond too real,
These wounds will never heal,
I'll sit here by the pier,
With feelings so severe,
I'm honest and sincere,
To me it's very clear,
For thirty six years,
