Vanity

I'm the moon mirror.
My gaze is where you bathe.
Impregnated with your fears.
Your lunacy is a phase.

I brighten your night.
A white rabbit in a maze.
You're the goddess I smite.
Don't be conceited. Behave.

With my moonbow I enchant.
At the end of the day.
In my lullabies I rant,
How I cradled the babe.

I send out my signals.
Constellations; the stage.
I'm always late. Never frugal.
I use suspense to get my way.

Like a ghost I am terrifying.
Yet, when you see my face,
My charisma is electrifying.
You'll never escape.

I'm the moon gleaming down.
Crashing in with the waves.
Forcing the strings on you clowns,
That dance to your graves.
