unbroken spirit
My soul is free
No longer a prisoner of the flesh
It carries unconquerable hope
The wicked seducer
Has no hold on me
My heart it’s trusted friend
Was faithful unto death
Strange fantasies disturbed you
Leaving me downcast and fearful
Merely time before
My body fell victim to abuse
Beaten, bloodied raped
Yet full of forgiveness
This unbroken spirit
Awaiting entry
At heavens gate

This is an interesting piece..I like how you say "unbroken" spirit..for some reason that sounds good to the ears and the soul. one question : In the first 6 lines or so you speak of a soul that is no longer tied to the flesh etc...but why do you say that the hope is unconquerable..as opposed to conquerable?.just a question..Thanks for wielding your pen and sharing this..fc

the soul is free... so therefore no longer conquerable as the body was and you cannot conguer hope from a spirit that is free .. at least in my humle thoughts thankyou for reading fc
