dumb reason

a sequel to Unspoken Rhyme by LilDragonFly

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out
and remove all doubt.”—Abraham Lincoln

lost in every time and season
him who adulates blind reason
adamant to make a muckle
though he lacks the tritest mickle

what's the virtue in illogic
when em is divorced from music
e'en the shrewdest sleight-of-hand trick
on the parchment torn makes you sick

let the dumb iamb a new ink
bleed to save him from the unthink
in a world of rhyme and reason
eloquencelessness is treason
