Hyacinth #1

Dear Hyacinth ,

I bore you in suffering in the wee hours
The hour hand struck 2 and at the edge of my bed
Is another morning ritual deprived of sleep
"Im falling" he said
Trying to catch a second wind
"Im falling behind what's really important"
I'm falling into vanity's creek
My mind is crippled and distorted
I'm homesick for  someone to believe in
I'm homesick for a person that's You !!!
Its left me with nothing but trouble in my life
Hyacinth
I broke the vows of the evening
To show the horrid truth
My words are solemn and grim
Im often misheard and mistook
I once was a sweet child
Unafraid to ride the wave
I miss my innocence
I miss putting my faith in people
Its all downhill from here
An absence of relevancy in my dreams
Foreshadowing me with a tomorrow
with nothing to hold on to
No-one to hold on to
Hyacinth
The final chapter would be marred with regret
As I'd miss the smooth feel on your cheeks
Gazing upon the bluish essence of your core
I ache to be your concubine of faith
But I need to let you go
As we lead a double life and I love you more than life.
Its too deep to turn back now
At least I've earned my keep
And solace to matters superior
Never begging the sea for mercy
Passion is ignited
With tomorrow bearing no promises to keep
There's no stopping this entropy
Or so it seems
The pressure's gnawed at me
And everyday ,the glass mirror gets tougher to watch
I spoke my truth and paid my debt
The more reason to live life sedated
Perverse decisions
My message is bleak
The more reason to let it go
The only reason is to thrive.
