American political discussions

The challenge is
you have to try to convince large and diverse
groups of people
to change their minds,
but you cannot use logic,
that would not convince enough people
to change their minds,
and you cannot use the same argument as your opponent,
because then we just have more or less complicated
     versions of good on both sides against evil on both
     sides,
and it seems, collectively,
we struggle to agree on which is which.
