once Upon a Time
Once upon a time there was a young girl
who lived in a dark and twisted world
alone to her room she was often sent
her eyes full of tears
her head was down bent
into her own world she would often be
into a story of her own fantasy
in her mind he was always there
to love and to hug
and to show her care
when ever she felt that growing fear
she often dreamt that he was near
the pain she endured she had to hide
a deep dark secret
she buried inside
she was just a child so broken and scared
the people around her were never there
alone she faced the daily beating
the bullying taunts
that stopped her from eating
no one cared if she was bruised
or if this girl was being abused
all she had was the man in her dream
but alas dear reader
it was not what it seems
the man she dreamt so brave and true
was a man that she sadly already knew
he wasn't a hero that took her away
he was the worst of the devils
that sent her insane
once upon a time in a dark lonely world
there lived a woman no longer a girl,
though she survived the horrors she fought
still to the day
that hero she sought...
