I Can't Even Finish This Sent----
I feel almost like a disappointment.
I've been working
And keeping up with friends
But I haven't done anything like
My college stuff, and it is piling up
My parents are nagging me about getting my permit
Especially since I said I'd get it this summer
And they get angry at me
Because I keep asking for screen time
So I can ignore my problems while playing the sims
But God.
even writing my name is hard.
i am trying
i promise.

Fia is right. Do the best you can. Having said that, sometimes that is going to include staying on your own ass and holding yourself accountable. Pushing yourself to keep moving forward like we talk about. That is a huge part of being an adult. There are going to be countless things that need to be handled, that need to be addressed and you have to become really good at juggling.
The best thing you can do is an assessment of what needs to be done. Prioritize those things and focus on one thing at a time. Dont look at the whole list. Pick one thing and see it through to completion. Start checking things off the list. You want separation from your Dad, from that house. Whats going to get you there? A permit and eventually a license will afford you more freedom. An education so that you can aquire a career rather than just a job. That will provide you with stability and the means to be independent.
I understand the desire to hang with friends or to distract yourself with video games or whatever your prefererred distraction is. You must remember and acknowledge that they are just that. Distractions. They dont change anything. Everything remains the same once you look up from whatever the distraction is. You're not moving forward. They are getting you no closer to where you need to be. Also, a distraction can come in many different forms. Its literally anything that takes your focus off of something else. Getting your permit and takimg care of your college stuff can also be a distraction. A distraction that also moves you forward on the path to your happiness.
The games will still be there when you finish with those things. Your friends, if they are your real friends will still be there. The friends you want are the ones that want to see you succeed. People that want to see you better yourself. People that will be happy that you are moving towards your best life. If they aren't that, then they aren't the right ones. Its important to surround yourself with postive energy if you want positive things.
Just some thoughts. Ultimately you have to decide what is best for you. You have to decide what you want. I wanted to provide you with some things to maybe spark some reflection. Everything that you want is within your hands. You can make it happen. You can mainfest it. I believe in you. Believe in yourself. Look at how far you've come. Celebrate that but dont become complacent. Go after what you want and claim it. Its yours.
