James and the Seasons
As autumn's leaves, in graceful sway,
Surrender to Earth's gentle play,
They dance a waltz, a colorful delight,
'Gainst skies that burn with golden light.
Upon the bridge, James stands in awe,
Mesmerized by nature's sacred law.
Leaves twirl and flutter, painting the air,
As if whisked by angels, a heavenly prayer.
In the tapestry of falling leaves,
He feels his heart find solace and peace.
Serenity descends, a tranquil embrace,
As he gazes up at nature's ethereal grace.
But amidst the spectacle, one face he sees,
Autumn's radiance sets him free.
Her eyes reflect the golden hue,
Ignited by a love that's forever true.
As the leaves continue their gentle fall,
James feels as if he's surrendering to a call.
Falling into the depths of Autumn's embrace,
Where love and beauty forever chase.
Winter then arrives, her icy kiss,
A chill that brings a frosty bliss.
Her touch is cold, yet James feels warm,
In Winter's arms, he rides the storm.
No shame he bore, his spirit free and bold,
In Winter's heart, a story yet untold.
Her snowy whispers, a serene delight,
Turning darkened days to sparkling light.
With Spring's arrival, life renews,
Her gentle warmth, the morning dew.
Spring's laughter, a melodious tune,
Blossoms burst in a vibrant boon.
Their eyes, like flowers, begin to bloom,
Winter's chill now a distant gloom.
Spring's touch awakens, a verdant start,
Breathing new life into James' heart.
And as the days grow long and bright,
Summer enters, passion's light.
Her fiery spirit, a blazing sun,
In Summer's glow, James is undone.
Summer's nights, a warm embrace,
With every kiss, his heart does race.
Her fervent love, a tempest wild,
In Summer's heat, he is beguiled.
The night was a beast, with teeth of ebony,
And whispers of fear on the wind, a symphony.
Through shadowed streets, they slithered and crept,
Casting doubt and dread on the town that slept.
Beneath her covers, Summer lay tight,
Her heart a drum, beating through the night.
Each groan of the floorboard, a whispered threat,
Each gust of wind, a fear she couldn't forget.
Fear, like a serpent, coiled in her soul,
Its icy grip, a burden to hold.
It gnawed at her insides, a relentless ache,
As she prayed for dawn, for the darkness to break.
With each passing hour, the night grew more deep,
And shadows danced, secrets they would keep.
But hope flickered faint, a fragile, pale flame,
As Summer waited, whispering her own name.
For the first light of dawn, a promise of peace,
Would chase away the shadows, grant her release.
And with the rising sun, she would find her way,
Out of the darkness, into a brighter day.
So let the seasons dance their final dance,
As the world below basks in their trance.
For in these moments, through love's array,
James finds his heart, in every season's sway.
Surrender to Earth's gentle play,
They dance a waltz, a colorful delight,
'Gainst skies that burn with golden light.
