seasons of plenty

“Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the
afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver
them from the hand of the wicked.”―Psalm 82:3-4 ESV

          fountains of water
                    to quench the dry earth
          mountains of laughter
                    to publish my mirth
          then shall the nations
                    rejoice in the south
          and ample rations
                    of praise fill my mouth

                   seasons of plenty
                              and oceans of blue
                    reasons so gently
                              proportioned on cue
                    rousing the spirit
                              to rapturous praise
                    minute by minute
                              my songs to amaze

                              when i am joyful
                                        and rested from toil
                              then shall the hopeful
                                        partake of my spoil
                              for i am champion
                                        of those who are meek
                              and the great bastion
                                        of those who are weak
