I'm Pink, But Wish I Was Green

Iwas quite pink at birth
There were other babies
With different shades
The curious thing
Was we were all mute
But sweetly cute
As we wondered who would 'adopt' us
Being pink was good
A popular colour, or so i heard
Yet we were never adopted alone
We were almost identical,
And would normally be sent off in groups,
At about 20-30 at a time
As we were all bundled together
Heading to our final destination
We became quite fearful
And all turned to jelly
Especially
When my black friend
Was chosen first
Picked up by a little monster
Which bit off the head of my friend
I then heard a voice of another little monster say
"I prefer the pink babies, they are so sweet"
The yellow, and green babies
Were the last to go
Jelly babies
Full of woe!
