ACCEPTING A DARE

COURAGE
is challenged when
a proposition is presented
with a dare: "I dare you!".
There are two extremes:
"Refusal to take a chance
and the 'daredevil' spirit
that is always ready to
accept any dare with
abounding courage and
recklessness.
The gesture was made.
As I somewhat reluctantly
took it in my hand, the
voice thundered, "I dare you."
I accepted the dare and
placed the extra spicy red hot
chicken wing in my mouth.
Meet me at the Kissing Place
and bring some dares.
