I would wonder if he really loves this man down deep or if he is love with the illusion of sex and love... then I would allow him the freedom to check it out and love him without conditions as a person who has evolved into a deeper understanding of love...

I like this, and I see you're looking for friendly feedback. I think you could structure this in a way that ... slithers. Right now it creeps, and it's really a great trope. The freaking situational irony is beautifully done.
