Night and Stars

It was a time of night and stars,
where firelight stained colomnus trees
against the quilted black of night.

Hearts spun on mortal plains
embrace in hues of pale moonlight.

No storm, nor rain befell the eve’,
they spoke of ancient lakes that flowed
and forests steeped in elven words,
a grimwar rich in blood and time.

It was a time of night and stars,
where darkness delved in
delicious delight.

The air was still, intense but warm,
like the eyes that hold the others gaze
an ensemble, if you will,
written in the midst of Luna rays.

Ignited flames that burn so true,
Swaddled in darkened shades of light
in velvet tones inscribed their lives,
Held true with all their passion and might.

It was a time of night and stars .
